FAQs for Kozasko: Your Guide to Shopping, Returns & Warranties
Absolutely. Hand Welted shoes are crafted using traditional shoemaking techniques where the leather insole is prepared with a holdfast, or stitching ridge, carved by hand around its edge. The upper and welt are then hand-stitched directly to this holdfast, creating a strong and durable connection.
How is it crafted? First, the leather insole is carefully prepared and the holdfast is carved by hand. The upper is shaped over the last and secured to the insole, after which the welt is hand-stitched to the upper and insole. Finally, the outsole is attached to the welt to complete the shoe.
This traditional construction offers excellent durability, comfort, and repairability. Since the outsole is attached to the welt rather than directly to the upper, it can be replaced and the shoes can be resoled multiple times. So if you are looking for premium leather shoes made with exceptional craftsmanship and built to last, Kozasko’s Hand Welted Shoes are designed to remain a timeless staple in your wardrobe for years to come.
